Cheap Car Insurance is it possible?

Finding cheap car insurance that suits your particular needs may not be easy in today’s car insurance market. Many drivers do not realize that they can help themselves and their likelihood of getting cheap car insurance from a company if they would do certain things to support their position. The following are some of the things that you can do to help yourself:
• Anti Theft Devices. By installing anti theft devices most insurance companies will offer some form of reduced premium or a discount. If you drive a new car or one that is fairly new chances are there is an anti theft device already installed. The older cars however generally do not have any so you make have to have one installed.
• Two Car Discount: Some insurance companies will offer a discount if you insure two cars with them. What they will do is to offer a discount on the premiums for the second car. In some cases the premium paid on both cars is similar to that paid on one car.
• Yearly Policies: Car insurance policies are usually no more than a year in duration. The shorter term policies however tend to be more expensive than the yearly ones. It is therefore far better to choose a yearly policy as your savings will be greater as you will get a rate that is fixed and will never change during the policy period.
• Storage Coverage: You can opt for comprehensive storage coverage if you plan on storing your care for long time period. Once you keep this coverage for the time the car is in storage you may actually save on your car insurance. No collision is likely to occur when the car is in storage and no need for liability coverage.
• Cut your driving miles. If you are one of the many driver who rack up on average less than forty mile per day, you may qualify for a low mileage discount that is offered by most insurance companies. To reduce your cars mileage you may consider joining a car pool or just taking the public transportation a few days out of the week so you can qualify for the discount.
• Increase your deductible. The higher you deductibles are the lower your annual insurance premiums will be. Be sure however to prepare yourself for additional financial burdens to cover the deductibles should there be an accident.
